Kyiv is far away from the sea, but has lots of places to es­cape sum­mer heat and en­joy swim­ming and sun­bathing. Here are some of the top Kyiv recre­ation spots with good ser­vice, cozy at­mos­phere and pic­turesque views.

City Beach Club

City Beach Club is con­ve­niently lo­cated on the roof of the Ocean Plaza shop­ping mall, close to the city cen­ter. It has Kyiv’s big­gest rooftop swim­ming pool. It also of­fers a bar and lots of beach chairs. At night the place turns into an out­door beach club of­fer­ing sum­mer fresh cock­tails, live and disco mu­sic from the best Ukrainian and for­eign DJs.

Tsarsky City Re­sort

Tsarsky is mostly known as an elite sports club, but it also has a large sum­mer ter­race and a 25-me­ter-long out­door pool. The club also of­fers some fine cui­sine, an im­pres­sive choice of cock­tails, scented hookahs and other ser­vices to jus­tify a quite pricy membership. Par­ties are held near the pool on week­ends.

Olmeca Plage

This sum­mer en­ter­tain­ment com­plex is lo­cated on an is­land in the mid­dle of Dnipro River. It of­fers a beach, an out­door swim­ming pool, and a gourmet restau­rant. Those who pre­fer to spend beach time ac­tively can play vol­ley­ball or rent wa­ter skis and aqua bike on the spot.
