In­de­pen­dence Day pic­nic

The Amer­i­can Cham­ber of Com­merce in Ukraine held its an­nual In­de­pen­dence Day pic­nic at ArtZavod Plat­forma arts cen­ter in Kyiv on July 1, at­tract­ing sev­eral hun­dred people to a day of food, fun and mu­sic. Cham­ber pres­i­dent Andy Hun­der hosted the event, at­tended by U.S. Am­bas­sador to Ukraine Marie L. Yo­vanovitch and lead­ing fig­ures from the busi­ness com­mu­nity in Kyiv. The event was the 26th one held by the cham­ber, which started hold­ing In­de­pen­dence Day pic­nics in 1992, just a year after Ukraine gained In­de­pen­dence. As well as play­ing games, exercising and eat­ing all-Amer­i­can foods like hot dogs, the cham­ber’s pic­nic guests were en­ter­tained by an evening con­cert fea­tur­ing Ukrainian mu­si­cian Oleh Skrypka.
