NASA astronaut posts spectacular picture of Kyiv from space
U.S. astronaut Randolph Bresnik has published a picture of Kyiv he took from the International Space Station, the orbiting scientific outpost that has been circling the planet since 1998. Bresnik posted the photo of Kyiv at night on Facebook on Dec. 12, along with photos of Dublin, Ireland, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Edinburgh, Scotland. Even from space, the districts of the Ukraine's capital are visible, picked out by street lighting. “Good night from International Space Station. Kyiv Ukraine, Dublin Ireland, Copenhagen Denmark, Edinburgh Scotland,” the post reads. Bresnik is part of the NASA expedition crew that arrived at the station in July. He often posts pictures of various locations around the Earth that he takes from orbit, 408 kilometers above.
