The first snowfall of the season hit Kyiv on Nov. 14, catching many drivers off-guard and on summer tires. It had deadly consequences, with 11 people killed in weather-related accidents. Traffic was paralyzed in many streets, and police reported 500 road accidents in one day. It was a bad week for cars: On the night before the snowfall, a part of the road crashed on the central Shota Rustaveli Street due to a hot pipe breakage, swallowing an Uber car. No one was hurt in the accident.
