March in the Great Outdoors
Though March is said to “come in like a lion,” the month offers many outdoor activities for families in North Jersey. Join in a seasonal scavenger hunt, discover nature-themed tales on an innovative StoryWalk or pick your spot along the parade route at a St. Patrick’s Day parade. Here is a sampling of events happening in your area this month.
SATURDAY, MARCH 15
Tenafly Nature Center debuts its interactive outdoor exhibit that turns reading into an adventure along Center trails. A naturethemed story is told through electronic devices. Free. Tenafly Nature Center, 313 Hudson Ave., Tenafly; tenaflynaturecenter.org.
Morris County St. Patrick’s Day Parade
SATURDAY, MARCH 15, NOON
The annual parade honoring Ireland’s patron saint features marching bands, floats, bagpipers and more. Presented by the Morris County St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. South and Washington streets, Morristown.
Pancake Brunch & Maple Sugaring
SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 10:30 A.M.
Enjoy real maple syrup on pancakes and learn how to identify a maple tree, tap it and boil down sap to make fresh syrup. Coffee and hot cocoa will be served with pancakes. SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 11 A.M.

Seasonal Scavenger Hunt
SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2 P.M.
