SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO THINK OUTSIDE OF THE LUNCH BOX FOR NEW IDEAS. LET YOUR KIDS HELP YOU MAKE THESE NEW VARIATIONS ON AN OLD THEME AND SEND THEM OFF TO A GREAT DAY AT SCHOOL.

1 WAFFLE BLT’S Prepare regular waffle mix, pour mix into waffle maker and cook until golden brown. Stack one thick slice of tomato, crisp lettuce, two strips of bacon (mayo optional) on top of two waffle squares. 2 POCKET PB&J Select any two slices of bread, spread peanut butter and jam on one side. Top with the other slice and use a sandwich sealer to make the pocket. 3 BAGEL WITH A BONUS Choose any flavor of bagel and top with a generous amount of cream cheese, add a small amount of jam or jelly and top with fresh fruit. 4 HAM & CHEESE KABOBS Ask your grocery deli for a single thick slice of ham and use a small biscuit cutter or cookie cutter to cut round shapes out of the ham. Create the same size round shapes out of bread, cheddar cheese and cucumber. Use a smaller cutter or knife to cut center holes throughout all the ingredients and alternate stacking the items onto a pretzel rod.
