Dr. Adam Fried, super-- intendent for the Harrington n Park school district, was s selected as Northern Regional Superintendent of the Year by the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA). He began his career 23 years ago as a middle school teacher in Ridgefield Park and later served as principal and director of education in Hawthorne. He was appointed superintendent for Harrington Park in 2006.
The regional winners needd a minimumii of f five years as a chief education officer and are judged on their record of service as educators. There were three regional winners and they all “are excellent role models for all aspiring chief education officers to emulate,” NJASA Executive Director Dr. Richard G. Bozza says. “They are results-oriented educators who continually strive to improve the quality of education for all students they serve.”
During Fried’s tenure in Harrington Park he has overseen the implementation of several initiatives “that radically transformed the learning culture of the district while increasing student achievement and staff engagement,” the school board said in a press release.
