When Ford an­nounced it would of­fer a 3.0L Power Stroke diesel V-6 in the

2018 F-150, it was aim­ing for a

30-mpg fuel econ­omy tar­get for the truck. Re­cent EPA tests have con­firmed 30 mpg on the high­way, along with 22 city and

25 com­bined. Ford also re­leased power out­put num­bers of 250 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque for the diesel. The Power Stroke–equipped

F-150 has a max tow rating of

11,400 pounds and two max pay­load rat­ings: 1,940 pounds for re­tail-ver­sion trucks, 2,020 pounds for XL and XLT mod­els avail­able to fleet buy­ers. F-150s with Power Stroke diesels should be ship­ping to deal­ers now.
