For months, GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Franco kept Elizabeth in the dark about what he believed had happened between himself and Drew when they were kids. But with the truth now out — and Elizabeth unsure how she feels about things — does this mean the nearly-wed pair is over?
“In many ways,” says co-headwriter Shelly Altman, “Franco is his own worst enemy. He makes decisions that he knows are probably not the wisest, and somehow manages to be surprised

when they blow up in his face!”
Now, in this particular case, Franco may have thought he was acting in Elizabeth’s best interest. Part of him figured that it would be better to find out what really happened all those years ago before telling Elizabeth, as opposed to potentially rocking the boat without just cause. Or at least, that’s what he tried to tell himself.
This week, once Franco and Drew figure out a way to escape Harvey’s nasty plan, both men find themselves
dealing with the problems that had been set in motion before their lives were put in jeopardy. And that means that Franco and Elizabeth must figure out their future!
Altman says that the fact Franco wasn’t forthcoming “continues to be a problem, but Elizabeth does not simply let go of her faith in who Franco really is at heart. This isn’t an absolute end to the relationship.”
It does, however, give Liz pause, especially given that she has kids to think about. “It certainly is a subject that is broached,” says Altman. “Her personal belief is that Franco would never hurt her family. However, she has to proceed with caution and find out all the facts to prove that this is, in fact, the case.”
But until then, only time will tell if Liz and Franco can get their romance back on track!
“One final confession, Liz? I love GREY’S ANATOMY.”
