Brotherly Love

While Michael Easton (Finn) insists that Josh Swickard (Chase) doesn’t need much help on the job, the daytime vet does get a kick out of the newcomer who plays his on-screen little bro. “It’s fun, because I kind of remember, in the very back of my mind, being the young guy on the show,” chuckles the actor, who got his start as DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Tanner back in 1990. “It’s great to see Josh’s energy and his approach. I’m there to help him in any way I can… but the hardest part is that I have to be very angry with him, and Josh is a lovely guy. He’s kind of hard to be angry with! I look at him and he looks genuinely hurt by the things I’ve said to him in scenes.” As viewers get to know Swickard’s character better, Easton is looking forward to seeing his young co-star dig deeper into the eager, wide-eyed detective. “They always introduce you one way and then throw something underneath it to give the character a bit of dimension,” he explains. “It’ll be fun to watch Josh play those dimensions. He’s a really sweet guy, he’s a good actor and he’s going to be a good one!”
