We Speak Out

ABC Soaps In Depth - - In Depth -

While a drunken Kristina spoke for a lot of impa-

tient viewers when she asked Sam and Jason why they hadn’t fallen into bed yet, we understood both

her frustration and what the show is (finally!) doing with the pair. While it took way too long to get to this point, at last we can feel the longing between the estranged supercouple whenever they cross paths. Better still, the show is playing not just the romance between Jason and Sam but the challenge of reintegrating him into the lives of their children.

Jason is essentially learn- ing to be a father, and it’s bringing out the softer side of him that we don’t necessarily associate with the Mob enforcer. Here’s hoping that moving forward, we also explore the challenge —- so far largely ignored — of Jason figuring out how he fits into the life of his other babymama, Elizabeth, and their son, Jake.

“Dear Sam and Jason… get busy. Love, everyone.”

Love is… never having to say you’re sorry. But dude, there are limits!
