ALABAMA Anglin CPAS merges in Bloomer Geri

De­tails: Anglin Re­ich­mann Snell­grove & Arm­strong PC, based in Huntsville, Alabama, has added Bloomer, Geri & Co., ex­pand­ing the firm to Pen­sacola, Florida.

The merger will al­low Anglin CPAS to ex­tend its foot­print to Pen­sacola as part of its strate­gic growth plan, and add Bloomer Geri’s tax con­sult­ing ser­vices. Anglin plans to main­tain Bloomer Geri’s cur­rent of­fice in Pen­sacola, which will of­fer tax ser­vices, along with au­dit, as­sur­ance, busi­ness and IT ser­vices.

Bloomer Geri man­ag­ing part­ner Donna Bloomer plans to stay in her po­si­tion dur­ing the tran­si­tion, but an­tic­i­pates re­tir­ing with the op­tion of a part-time con­sult­ing po­si­tion within the next five to 10 years. Owner and op­er­a­tions ex­ec­u­tive man­ager Jeanette Geri is likely to re­tire ear­lier than Bloomer, while Steve Schickel will re­main a part­ner based in Pen­sacola.

The com­bined firm will have a to­tal of 12 part­ners, three of which are from Bloomer Geri, and a to­tal of 75 em­ploy­ees, 17 of them from Bloomer Geri. Fi­nan­cial terms of the deal were not dis­closed.

CAL­I­FOR­NIA Win­des merges in Allen, Haight & Mon­aghan

De­tails: Win­des has added Allen, Haight & Mon­aghan, ex­pand­ing its pres­ence in South­ern Cal­i­for­nia.

Win­des is based in Long Beach, while AH&M is head­quar­tered in Irvine. AH&M has been in busi­ness for more than 32 years, of­fer­ing au­dit, as­sur­ance, tax, ac­count­ing and con­sult­ing ser­vices to closely held and mid­dle-mar­ket busi­nesses and their own­ers, sim­i­lar to what Win­des does. Fi­nan­cial terms were not dis­closed. Win­des had $26.91 mil­lion in an­nual rev­enue in 2017.
