ARIZONA Eide Bailly merges in King, Tripp & Henry
Details: Eide Bailly LLP, a Top 100 Firm based in Fargo, North Dakota, is expanding in Phoenix by adding CPA firm King, Tripp & Henry PLLC.
The combination will add two partners and four staff members to Eide Bailly. They will work out of the firm’s existing Phoenix office.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Eide Bailly had $293 million in annual revenue, while KTH earned $1.7 million in revenue. Eide Bailly has 270 partners and approximately 2,000 staff members in 28 offices.
COLORADO Plante Moran and EKS&H finalize merger
Details: Top 100 Firms EKS&H and Plante Moran have finalized the merger they agreed on in June, and announced some personnel moves to strengthen the combination.
The two were already the largest independent firms in their respective regions of the country — Plante Moran primarily in the Great Lakes area, and EKS&H in the Mountain Region — and the combined firm expects to be the 11th largest in the country, with more than 3,000 professionals in 27 offices. Plante had $521 million in 2017 revenue, while Denver-based EKS&H had $106 million.
Two prominent Plante Moran partners will relocate from Michigan to Denver to help integrate the two firms: the leader of Plante Moran’s wealth management practice, Bob Palmer, and the leader of Plante Moran’s tax solutions group, Nate Buchalski. The merger gives Plante Moran offices in Downtown Denver, the Denver Tech Center, Boulder and Fort Collins.
