Hey, That’s Me
As a former Navy F-4 driver, I was turning the pages of the Feb./mar. 2015 issue to find your cover story (“Any Mission at Mach 2”) when I saw, with great delight, the photo in the upper left corner on page 42: a shot of my VF-111 F-4B, with me flying it, dropping the standard load of six Mk 82 bombs on a target in Laos in early 1972. The picture was taken by Lieutenant Commander Tim Hubbard, and he had to dive with me to get the shot. We arranged for the picture opportunity because Laos was a lowthreat target area; I suspect we would not have done it over North Vietnam.
