A plane cap­tain as­signed to a he­li­copter squadron on the USS Abra­ham Lin­coln car­ries chocks made of polyurethane. One block is fixed and the other is ad­justable for a snug fit to a par­tic­u­lar type of air­craft. Chocks are loos­ened be­fore fu­el­ing since the fuel’s added weight ex­pands the tires.
