WADSWORTH - Together Again

Eleanor Elaine Samic our beloved mother passed away at home peacefully on hospice surrounded by her family on July 24, 2023. at the Age of 96. God has called her home to her eternal resting place where her devoted and loving husband of 71 years

(Chuck) was waiting to welcome her home.

Eleanor was a lifetime resident of the Wadsworth

- Rittman area. She graduated from Doylestown

High School.

Eleanor was born in Akron, Ohio on August 27,

1926 to the late W.C. (Carl) Williams, and Bessie

Bell (Hysell) Williams.

Eleanor is survived by: daughter, Marcia Samic; sons, Retired Brigadier General Dennis Samic (Friend) Deborah Samic, and Retired Lt Col. Ronald (Cindi) Samic

Grandchild­ren; Billy (Becky), Dawn, Jill (Craig), Sarah, Blake (Lili,) Ashlea (Mike), Mistydae (Mike), Josh (Jen), Juliebeth (Ryan), and Jenna

Great-Grand Children; Allison (Zack), Ryan, Jacob, Audrey, Hunter, Nicole, Tony (Meg), Mitchell (Emily), Joey (Molly), Matthew, Dylan, Anthony Joe, Wyatt, Chase, Elianah, Thomas, Haley, Jaxson, Lennox, Bexlee, Daxton, Ashley, Hunter, Bryn, Ryan; Madison, Camila, and Cy.

Great Great grandson: Dexter William.

Dear Friends: Jacquie Dague and Dale & Lynn Herman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, W.C. (Carl) Williams, and Bessie Bell (Hysell), husband Charles (Chuck) Samic, daughter, Marianne Johnson; sisters, Edith Kurtz, Dollie Mae Adkins, Frances Jane Pelfrey, brother; Bill Williams,

Granddaugh­ter, Heidi Sue, and great-grandson, Carter.

Mom worked for the Packaging Corporatio­n of America and Ohio Match Company before becoming employed by Westfield Insurance Company retiring in 1991 with 30 years of service in the Bond Department.

She joined the Wadsworth Eastern Stars Chapter #102 in 1959 with 63 years as an active member. She served as Worthy Matron of Wadsworth Chapter #102 in 1971, Grand Page to Deputy Grand Matron District 4 Grand Chapter of Ohio in 1979, Past President of District 4, Associatio­n of Line Offices in 1983, and served on the Board for Rainbow Girls.

She enjoyed going to the family get-togethers. Everyone looked forward to her homemade potato salad and baked beans. She especially looked forward to her birthday celebratio­ns at her favorite restaurant­s and sitting outside listening to the entertainm­ent.

She dearly loved her condo. She enjoyed showing friends and visitors dad’s craftsmans­hip remodeling their home and all their special finds going to auctions and antique stores. She enjoyed decorating for all the holidays and enjoyed the variety of beautiful flowers in her flowerbeds.

She loved spending time as an Auxiliary Volunteer at Wadsworth Rittman Hospital. They all looked forward to her egg salad sandwiches. They were a big hit in the snack bar.

She has entered into her eternal home now but has left her family with many memories and will remain in our hearts forever.

The family would like to thank her Harmony Care Hospice team, Lori, Trena, Teri, Rebecca and Pastor Tony Huggins for all their support and exceptiona­l care provided for our mom and our family. A special thank you to Hillard Rospert Funeral Home for taking care of our family as if our family was part of yours.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28,2023 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Hillard-Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, Ohio where funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 with Pastor Tony Huggins officiatin­g.

Entombment will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Rt.3, in Wooster, Ohio directly after the service

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of her husband, Charles (Chuck) Samic and their daughter Marianne (Samic) Johnson. Hilliard-Rospert
