Steven Stams

-

AKRON - Sunlight is now dimmer with the passing of Steve Stams. Known to be a fun-loving, confident, fearless hellion. He was a father, son, brother and uncle. He often said his greatest role was being a dad to his son, Mikol, his pride and joy.

Steve passed away suddenly Feb. 19th in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born Jan. 18th 1964 in Akron, Ohio to Georgia and the late Frank Stams. Steve grew up in Cuyahoga Falls attending St. Joseph Grade School, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and graduated from the University of Akron.

Possessing a winning can-do personality; made it possible for Steve to succeed in many areas. Be it the poise of a quarterback or the patience of a fisherman. Taking things apart was his hobby, not putting them back together was his habit.

The only disappointment he ever gave was leaving us too soon.

Often we ask for God’s blessings unaware of what we’ve been given or what we have. Steve you were our blessing and our love.

He was never looking for the station, only the joy of the journey.

Steven was preceded in death by his father; Frank. He is survived by his son; Mikol, mother; Georgia, sister; Kathryn, brother; Frank (Mari), Niece; Rhiannon, nephew; Mason, aunt; Juanita Englehart, cousins; Keri and Artie Englehart, and uncle Joe Mason.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent Parish located at 164 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44303 where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service.

Give someone you love a hug today.
