Nisky blanks ri­val Al­bany

Niskayuna handed ri­val Al­bany just its sec­ond loss of the sea­son in a 3-0 shutout win on Satur­day in a Sub­ur­ban Coun­cil clash.

Mer­jan Ozisik, Ge­orge Tsakalakos and Nick Vig­giani scored goals for the Sil­ver War­riors, who im­proved to 7-2-2 over­all and 6-2-2 in the Sub­ur­ban.

Al­bany dipped to 10-2 over­all and in league play. More boys’ soc­cer: Hunter Guertin scored four goals to lead Water­ford to a 6-1 win against Ta­ma­rac in Wasaren League play. Ja­son Cordts and Jack O’brien nailed Water­ford’s other two goals and Xan­der Gliosco scored the lone goal for Ta­ma­rac . ... Maple

Hill ad­vanced to the fi­nal in its tour­na­ment with a 3-1 vic­tory over Op­pen­heim-ephratah/st. Johnsville. Seth Roberts paved the way with two goals and Chris­tian Be­ber sent one in the net as well. Maple Hills will take on Sco­tia-glenville for the ti­tle at 3 p.m. Mon­day.

Girls’ soc­cer: Clau­dia Foun­tain scored four goals and had an as­sist to help Catholic Cen­tral roll past Co­hoes, 6-0, in a Colo­nial Coun­cil con­test. Madi­son Cler­mont added a goal and two as­sists for the Lady Cru­saders, who evened their record at 7-7.

... Ly­dia Ware led Aver­ill Park to a 2-0 vic­tory over South Glens Falls, scor­ing the only goals of the game. Micayla Slattery and De­laney Bur­ton added as­sists for Aver­ill Park . ... Both Vanessa Evans and So­phie Phillips con­trib­uted a goal and an as­sist in Cam­bridge’s 4-0 non­league win against Fort Ann. Lily Phillips and Alex­ciyah Wood­worth added the other two goals for the In­di­ans and Syd­ney Ben­son fin­ished with an as­sist.

Girls’ vol­ley­ball: Burnt Hills won the John Glenn Tour­na­ment by de­feat­ing Long Branch, 27-25, 25-21 in the fi­nal. Grace Isak­sen had 11 digs, Claire Isak­sen had 17 as­sists and Car­lie Rzes­zo­tarski had eight kills. Burnt Hills moves to 18-1 over­all.
