Massry Center for the Arts announces 2018-2019 lineup

ALBANY — Jazz violinist Regina Carter, soul and R&B icon Aaron Neville and Lea Delaria — comedian, singer and “Orange Is the New Black” star — are all included in the 2018-2019 “Premiere Performanc­e Series” at the Massry Center for the Arts at The College of Saint Rose.

The Massry is marking its ten year anniversar­y since its 2008 opening.

Also coming to the venue this season: country folk duo the Secret Sisters, neo-folk trio the Ballroom Thieves, jazz outfit the Aaron Goldberg Trio, and African-canadian roots artist Kaia Kater.

Saxophonis­t Maceo Parker will also be performing. He played alongside soul superstar James Brown and Parliament­funkadelic.

In addition, the season includes three free performanc­es by faculty chamber ensemble the Saint Rose Camerata.

Below is the full lineup for the series, which is being offered in partnershi­p with Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.

Tickets for Delaria are $40 ($15 for Saint Rose students) and available at 518-274-7804 or online at massrycent­er.org, troymusich­all.org.

Purchases can be made in person at the Troy Music Hall box office at 30 Second St., Troy.
