Troy Music Hall announces ‘Music at Noon’ series
TROY — Frank Wiens, a pianist from Stockton, Calif., will kick off the 20182019 “Music at Noon” Tuesday concert series at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall with a recital of music by Spanish composers Isaac Albeniz and Enrique Granados.
On the program are pieces from Granados’ “Goyescas” and Albeniz’ “Suite Espagnole” and “Iberia.”
A pianist who has toured around the world, Wiens has soloed with the Detroit, Atlanta and Denver symphonies.
Also in the lineup: bluegrass, bassoons, guitar, cello, chamber jazz and gypsy jazz.
Pianist and series founder Findlay Cockrell will close out the series with a classical program on May 14.
The full slate of Music at Noon performances is below. Admission is free.
Doors open at 11 a.m.; people are invited to bring a bag lunch to eat before
the noon show.
