Lending a hand in the Capital Region
Above: Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy last month reached a fundraising goal of $2.3 million for the group’s operations, enabling it to grow from a staff of two to six, to amplify outreach and fundraising efforts and connect with more landowners in Albany, Montgomery, and Schenectady counties. It has also raised $4.7 million of its $5 million goal for land protection efforts, and hopes to raise the remaining $300,000 in the upcoming months. Below: At its annual golf tournament, Albany Medical Center raised $134,363 for Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital. More than 200 golfers participated at Schuyler Meadows Club in Loudonville on Sept. 20. BBL Construction Services and Columbia Development Group were the title co-sponsors. This year’s banquet featured nearly a dozen patients and families served by the children’s hospital.
