Women’s Press Club plans awards din­ner

Ra­dio host, state AG, TU staffers among hon­orees

Club of New York State will honor per­sons of dis­tinc­tion at its an­nual awards and scholarship din­ner at 6 p.m. Oct. 24 at Tre­viso by Mal­lozzi at the Ital­ian Com­mu­nity Cen­ter in Al­bany.

Emmy Award-win­ning host and pro­ducer of the syn­di­cated pub­lic ra­dio pro­gram the Capi­tol Press­room, Su­san Ar­bet­ter will be in­ducted into the club’s Hall of Honor.

State At­tor­ney Gen­eral Bar­bara Un­der­wood and Akum Norder, au­thor and jour­nal­ist, will both be hon­ored with the club’s Woman in the Me­dia Award.

Elisa Streeter, NEWS10ABC an­chor, will re­ceive the Me­dia Per­son of the Year Award, while Mary Alice Mol­gard, as­sis­tant pro­fes­sor at The Col­lege of Saint Rose, will re­ceive the Ex­cel­lence in Ca­reer Achieve­ment award.

Times Union Se­nior Edi­tor and colum­nist Casey Seiler will re­ceive the club’s first Stand­ing O! Award.

Craig New­mark Grad­u­ate School of Jour­nal­ism at CUNY stu­dent Jazmin Good­win will re­ceive the $1,000 Betty Flood Mor­row WPCNYS An­nual Scholarship.
