Women’s Club sets annual Holiday Tea
ALBANY — The Women’s Club of Albany is hosting its 12th annual Holiday Tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday Dec. 1, in its historic 1895 building, 725 Madison Ave.
The event will include a raffle and tea sandwiches from The Whistling Kettle, desserts by Zachary’s Pastry Shoppe and teas from Divinitea. Admission is $40 per person and proceeds will benefit the on-going repair and restoration of the club’s building. RSVPS are requested by Friday.

Turkey Trot puts on a costume contest
TROY — The 71st annual Turkey Trot Costume Contest, judged by staff of Pioneer Bank, will be from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Thanksgiving morning at the Troy Atrium, 4 Third St.
Participants in the 5K are invited to enter one of the contests, “Best Thanksgiving Day Costume” and the “Most Unique Costume,” by filling out an entry form and taking a picture of themselves or their team in costume.
Entry forms can be sub- mitted at bib/chip/t-shirt pick-up from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday or Wednesday at the Atrium. Contestants can also complete a costume contest entry form Thanksgiving morning on the first floor of the Atrium. A photo of the contestant’s costume will be taken prior to judging.

Holiday tours set at Oakwood Chapel
TROY — The Friends of Oakwood are holding guided tours of the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel at 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Oakwood Cemetery, 186 Oakwood Ave.
Cost of admission is $10, children under 12 free. Each tour has a limit of 40 people and registration is highly suggested.

Understanding 2018 midterm elections
SARATOGA SPRINGS — The League of Women Voters of Saratoga County is hosting “Joy and Pain, Sunshine and Rain: Understanding the 2018 Midterm Elections,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 in the
Saratoga Springs Library.
The program, presented by Christopher B. Mann, PH.D, assistant professor of political science at Skidmore College, will look deeper into media coverage of the 2018 elections on a local, state and national level, and more.
The program is free and open to the public.

Fundraiser to aid Patriot Flight Inc.
ALBANY — The Capital District Patriot Flight Inc. is holding a Christmas fundraiser from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Zaloga Post American Legion #1520, 4 Everett Road Ext.
The event will feature auction, raffles, gift baskets, hams, turkeys, military items, artwork and more.
Santa and Uncle Sam will also make an appearance. Refreshments, pizza and wings will be available for purchase.

Victorian Streetwalk presented Nov. 29
SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association’s annual Victorian Streetwalk is from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 29 on Broadway.
The event will feature an appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, as well as the tree-lighting at 6 p.m. and entertainment from Saratoga Central Catholic choir, CBA marching band and the Saratoga City Ballot Company beginning at 5:45 p.m. Guests can also stop by the post office with their Christmas card envelopes to get them canceled with a specially designed 32nd anniversary cancellation.
