Golden Knights squads sweep
The College of Saint Rose men’s basketball team coasted to a 77-58 win over New Haven on Saturday at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium in Albany.
“We really played tough defense today and that was a big key with providing our offense some easier opportunities in transition,” Saint Rose head coach Mike Perno said. “We need to continue to defend and rebound, and I think the offense will take care of itself.”
Freshman forward Sekou Sylla scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Golden Knights, who moved to 3-4 overall and 1-4 in the Northeast-10 Conference.

The Saint Rose women earned a 65-53 victory over visiting New Haven in Albany.
