Just call him Sir Si­mon Keenly­side. The renowned bari­tone, a Met­ro­pol­i­tan Opera main­stay who has sung at London’s Covent Gar­den and the Bavar­ian and Vi­enna state opera houses, was knighted in June for ser­vices to mu­sic. Keenly­side, who was side­lined from 2014 through 2016 af­ter suf­fer­ing a vo­cal cord in­jury and re­cov­er­ing from thy­roid surgery, is back and sound­ing as strong as ever. He makes his Union Col­lege Con­cert Se­ries de­but this week, ac­com­pa­nied by pi­anist Mal­colm Martineau.
