ER entrance difficult to find for ride-shares

Uber has been great for the Capital Region, but when it comes to knowing where to pick up people from Albany Medical Center’s emergency room — that’s a different story.

One of the Buzz staffers had an unfortunate trip to Albany Med last week when it was extremely cold, and two Uber drivers could not find the emergency room entrance.

The first driver canceled the pickup after failing to find the emergency room entrance. Uber still charged $5.

The second Uber driver couldn’t find the emergency room either. The Buzz scribe made the lengthy walk to Myrtle in subfreezing weather to flag down the driver. The driver said he was worried there wasn’t a designated Uber or ride-share stop.

Perhaps Albany Med and Uber could get together to clear up the confusion.
