Giants CB Deandre Baker, accused of armed robbery, assault, turns self in.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Giants cornerback Deandre Baker surrendere­d on Saturday at Broward County Jail.

Baker was charged with four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, says he has affidavits that will prove Baker’s innocence.

Baker and Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar were sought since Thursday after multiple witnesses accused them of an armed robbery at a party. Dunbar has not yet surrendere­d. More NFL: Former Redskins star Dexter Manley is in a hospital after testing positive for coronaviru­s. ... The Rams re-signed defensive end Morgan Fox, and released defensive tackle tanzel Smart .... Redskins receiver Cody Latimer was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, menacing and illegal discharge of a firearm.

... Michael Mccaskey, who led the Chicago Bears for nearly three decades following the death of his grandfathe­r George halas, died Saturday after a lengthy battle with cancer, the team said. He was 76.

obituary: Phyllis George ,the former Miss America who became a female sportscast­ing pioneer on CBS’S “The NFL Today” and served as the first lady of Kentucky, has died. She was 70. A family spokeswoma­n said George died Thursday at a Lexington, Ky., hospital after a long fight with a blood disorder.
