Behrens, Charles H. Jr.

WYNANTSKILL — Charles H. Behrens Jr., 95 of Wynantskill, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Charles was born on November 24, 1926, in Niverville, N.Y., the son of the late Charles and Orietta (Van Wormer) Behrens Sr. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during World War II. He was a mechanic for Van Acker’s garage in Rensselaer until 1967 when he went to work for New York State as a mechanical equipment inspector and then specification writer until retiring 1985. Chuck was an avid square dancer and was a member of the Country Round and Square Dancers, and Adirondack Fiddlers. Charles was also active in the Bloomingrove Church and held many offices there, including being the caretaker
