Ulster County clerk wins history award
NEWBURGH — Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack has been named 2022 Martha Washington Woman of History, given annually by Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site to a woman who has made a contribution to the history of the Hudson Valley by education, promotion, preservation.
Postupack is the first female to hold the Ulster County clerk job. A historian and educator, she was co-chair of the Ulster County Quadricentennial Committee, a Hudson River Maritime Museum member, and co-host of the weekly show “Terrific Tuesdays” on Kingston Community Radio.
The award will be presented at “The General’s
Lady,” event in March. Details to come.
