Mine Kill presents winter fun
NORTH BLENHEIM — Mine Kill State Park presents winter activities starting Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the rest of the week, ending Feb. 25. Children can participate in a snow sculpture competition; one for ages 0-11 and another for ages 12-18, throughout the week. Tuesday will feature programming on the science of ice and how to be safe on it, whether you’re in ice skates or regular boots. On Wednesday, park staff will offer guided snowshoeing excursions, along with a primer on how to identify animal tracks in the snow. Space is limited on these excursions, so call 518-827-6111 or email ian.heney@parks.ny.gov to reserve a spot.
