Meyer sets Duanesburg mark

Madison Meyer scored 21 points to become the school’s all-time leading scorer and lead Duanesburg to a 79-29 win in a Class C first-round home playoff game Saturday.

Meyer needed 16 points to pass Marissa Dwyer for the record. She now has 1,483 career points.

Allison O’Hanlon added 17 points in the win while Alex Moses chipped in with 10 points and five assists.

More girls’ basketball: Alexis Wright scored 32 points to lead Berne-Knox to a 52-38 win over Rensselaer in a Class C first-round game . ... Bella Seeberger scored 12 points, including two 3-pointers, to lift Maple Hill over Hoosick Falls in a Class C contest 54-47. Olivia Estes led all scorers with 24 for the Panthers. Alyssa Martin and Sydney Rogers each scored nine for the Wildcats. Amber McNeil added 13 for Hoosick Falls . ... Boys’ swimming and diving: The combined Burnt Hills/ Scotia swim team won the boys’ Division II title Saturday with 510 points, 53 points clear of second-place Glens Falls. The Gloversvil­le/Mayfield team finished in third place with 291 points. Burnt Hills/Scotia jumped out to a lead right away in winning the 200 medley relay final by 0.14 seconds over Glens Falls. The winning team consisted of Sam Brown, Liam Marshall, Keegan Stafford and Addison Pokines. Stafford also won the 200 freestyle, while Brown won the 100 butterfly. Glens Falls senior Aidan Murphy won the 1-meter diving final with a total of 379.45 to top the Gloversvil­le pair of Jeremiah Hughes and Justin Kemmet.
