Biggerstaff, Brent

NISKAYUNA — Brent Biggerstaff, 54 of Niskayuna, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Ellis Hospital after a valiant seven-year battle with cancer.

He was born in Schenectady on July 25, 1967, a son of the late John and Barbara (Gilbert) Biggerstaff Jr. Brent was a longtime area plumber and steamfitter for Local 7 for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a longtime member of the West Albany and Voorheesville Rod & Gun Club.

Brent is survived by his two brothers, John E. (Gail) Biggerstaff III and Mark E. (Ruth) Biggerstaff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Christine, Matthew, Melissa, Mark, Max, Alexander and Julia.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a celebration of Brent’s life to immediately follow at 1 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
