Grant provides $10 spay and neuter

MENANDS — Pet owners who qualify based on their income may have their dogs and cats spayed or neutered for as little as $10 at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave.

The discount is through a grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and will be provided while funds last. Spaying and neutering prevents unwanted litters, has behavioral benefits and can help prevent certain types of cancers.
