Saints drop to 1-5 with home loss

-

Dartmouth held off a late rally to beat Siena 11-9 Saturday in a men’s lacrosse game at Hickey Field in Loudonville.

George Prince scored four goals and Tommy Rogan added three goals and three assists to lead Dartmouth (2-1).

The Saints (1-5), trailing 9-4, mounted a fourthquarter comeback, holding the Big Green scoreless for the final seven minutes of the game. Nick Casner, Pratt Reynolds and Jack Kiernan scored during that stretch. Christian Watts scored back-toback goals early in the fourth quarter to spark the Saints’ rally.

Watts scored three goals to lead the Saints and leads the team with 14 goals through six games. Chris Yanchoris made 14 saves in the loss.

Luke Julien gave Siena its only lead of the game four minutes in, but Dartmouth reeled off seven unaswered goals over the first and second quarters. Rogan netted all three of his goals over that span. Prince scored twice in the fourth quarter to keep Dartmouth ahead of surging Siena.

Daniel Hincks made nine saves to earn the win.
