Villages prepare for March 15 elections

Few races contested; polling places are open from noon to 9 p.m.

Villages in the Capital Region area are preparing for the Tuesday, March 15, elections. Very few are contested. Voting is generally noon to 9 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

Here are how some have shaped up:

Athens

Trustees (2): Gail A. Lasher (D) and Robert A. Scott (D)

Ballston Spa

Mayor: incumbent Christine Fitzpatrick, (D), Frank Rossi Jr., (R)

Trustee: Democrat Kamran Parwana (D), Republican Bernadette VanDeinse-Perez (R). Voting is 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Eagle-Matt Lee Fire Company.

Castleton-on-Hudson

Mayor: Joe Keegan, incumbent

Trustees (2): Lissa D’Acquanni and Jenifer Pratico, both incumbents.

Referendum: Voters asked to increase the length of service fee by $100 to $800 annually. Paid to Castleton Fire Department to encourage members to serve.

Catskill

Trustees (2): Natasha L. Law (D/Action), Jamie Hyer Mitchell (R/Village Visions), Megan R. Henry (D/Action) and Diane Petrianni (Village Visions)
