— William C. Fox Jr., 93, passed away on March 1, 2022, at home. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late William and Anne (Bensinger) Fox Sr. Bill worked in the family business, William C. Fox Bait and Tackle, for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and upon his return from the service, worked at Schaefer Brewery for 20 years. He later worked for Albany County in the waste water treatment plant for 16 years. He was a communican­t of the former St. John-St. Ann’s Church. Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Bethlehem Elks for over 40 years and a lifelong member of the Bucci McTague American Legion Post #1530. Bill is survived by his siblings, Thomas (late Jane) Fox, Marcia (Wayne) Spaulding, and Linda Fox; his sister-in-law, Antoinette Fox; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by his brothers, Leonard Fox, and John (Verna) Fox; and sisters, Helen (James T.) Curry and Mary Frances "Nancy" (Jack) Lansing.

Bill’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 9, at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, South End site (formerly St. John-St. Ann’s Church), Fourth Avenue and Franklin Street. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with his family at the church prior to the Mass from 10-11 a.m. Inurnment will follow the Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians
