Ferrara, Lewis S.

KNOX — Lewis S. Ferrara, 73, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 6, 2022.

He was born in Brooklyn on February 24, 1948, to the late Philip and Anne (nee Tartaglia) Ferrara. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Jane; his daughter, Ciarra; his former foster children, Robert, Daniel and Gabby; his sisters, Marilyn Fogliano and her husband, Vincent, and Lauren FarraraDupuis and her husband, Henry; his cousin, Lisa Carieri; many other cousins, nieces, nephews and an enormous amount of friends; and his faithful companion Dozer.

Lewis’s passion in life was cooking a delicious meal. He was a chef for many years, working at Friar Tuck Inn and the Real Seafood Restaurant. Lewis loved the outdoors no matter the weather. He loved hiking and archery. At home, you usually found him outside working on an old car. The family would like to thank the Johnson and Sherman families for their abounding love and support. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
