Dutchmen ousted in OT by Clarkson
Kaelble’s goal at 3:14 of extra period eliminates Union
Clarkson ended the Union men’s ice hockey season with a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday in their ECAC quarterfinal contest in Potsdam.
Lukas Kaelble’s suddendeath overtime goal at 3 minutes, 14 seconds into the extra period sent Clarkson forward in the ECAC Tournament and ended the Union season.
The Dutchmen trailed 3-2 in the third period but Tyler Watkins scored at 10:16 to tie the score and force overtime.
The Golden Knights scored two first-period goals before Union jumped on the scoreboard with Andrew Seaman’s tally.
The Dutchmen evened the game in the second on Dylan Anhorn’s goal.
Clarkson advances to the ECAC semifinals on Friday in Lake Placid.
