COLONIE — Mildred I. Hoke, 81, born in Albany, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, after a courageous uphill battle with her health. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by all of her loving family, as she entered into the eternal heavenly gates.

In her younger years she was active in bowling and little league baseball, was president of the ladies auxiliary, and wherever she went, she was the life of the party. Her favorite pastime was spent as a talented crocheter. Mildred is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Hoke Sr.; children, James (Debra) Theodore, Jeffrey (Anne), Theresa (Wayne) and Stephen; as well as seven grandchild­ren, three great-grandchild­ren and her fur babies, Mia and Precious. The family would like to thank Community Hospice for their care and kindness. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, from 5 7 p.m. with a service to take place at 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will take place on Wednesday, March 16, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
