Neadle, Bernard A.
— Bernard A. Neadle, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Facility with his loving family by his side. Bernard was the oldest son of the late Fabian and Cecelia Neadle. Bernard was born in Rotterdam and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a pole lineman in Okinawa. He was married for 58 years to his loving wife, Marilyn, and together they raised seven children. Bernard was a member of the Ironworkers Local 12 and was an exceptional welder. He participated in building many local projects: the South Mall in Albany, O.D. Heck Developmental Center, buildings at G.E. in Schenectady, the Green Island Bridge, the venues for the Olympics in Lake Placid in 1980, and many other structures in the Capital Region.
He used his welding and mechanic skills to help many people with their vehicles, farm equipment and anything broken that he could fix. He loved helping people in need, and gave from what he had to assist his family and friends.
Bernard was a fan of bluegrass music and especially loved Flatt and Scruggs, inspiring him to play his own banjo. He loved to accompany his wife, Marilyn, while she played the piano. Ber
