Deratzian, Nancy A.

WATERVLIET — Nancy Ann Deratzian, 81, a loving mother and Mimi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at home with her loving daughters by her side.

Nancy was the daughter of the late Clifford and Bernice Shea. She was a proud member of the Scarlett Harlequins Red Hats, The Menands and Halfmoon Senior Centers and the Empire State Capital Volkssporters. Nancy was also an avid San Francisco Giants fan and animal lover.

Nancy was an amazing woman who fought a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her strength, grace and kindness. She touched all who knew and loved her. Her daughters and grandchildren were her world and she loved her sons-in-law, Bob and Brian like they were her own. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Reith and Tara (Bob) Nadareski; her cherished grandchildren, Max, Riley and Lainey; her ex-husband, Richard Deratzian; her brother-inlaw, Tom Deratzian; her beloved nieces and nephews; her life-long friends, Sheila Reed and Sue Babowicz, as well as many other dear friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the
