— Verna E. von den Driesch, 91 of Sparrow Hawk Circle, and a longtime resident of Poestenkill, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Niskayuna, Verna was the daughter of the late Willis and Beulah Bisgrove Grinter and the wife of the late Harry von den Driesch. Verna had resided in Poestenkill from the late 1950s until 2016, when she moved to Diamond Ridge and then to Clifton Park in 2018. Verna was a homemaker and while living in Poestenkill was a member of the Home Bureau and the Poestenkill Seniors. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill, she was involved in the PTA when her children were in school and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
