The Times Union has two real estate agents, a real estate lawyer and the president of the local real estate associatio­n lined up to answer questions about the market and specifical­ly, selling a house.

The panel, "Do I Really Need a Real Estate Agent," airs live at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29. Register at timesunion.com/ NeedARealE­stateAgent.

Two of Howard Hanna's top sales people will join the conversati­on: Associate broker Cathy Cooley and salesperso­n Angela Cugini along with Elizabeth

Byrne-Chartrand, a lawyer whose specialize­s in real estate and Laura Burns, CEO of the Greater Capital Associatio­n of Realtors. Staff writer Leigh Hornbeck will moderate.

Questions will include: "When many houses are selling for over the asking price, how does a listing agent come up with a price?" "What factors should I consider before putting my house on the market?" "How does commission work? Is it negotiable?" The panel will also take audience questions.
