Red Cross aids six after fire in Waterford

WATERFORD — The Northeastern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross said their volunteers provided immediate emergency aid to six people after a fire Saturday morning on Sidney Avenue in Waterford.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to two adults and four children, ages 1, 2, 6, and 8. Volunteers also offered health services and emotional support.
