Limousine crash families not ‘going away quietly’
We want to thank the Times Union Editorial Board for its timely editorial regarding the FBI’s “dodge” regarding possible supporting culpability for the Oct. 6, 2018, limousine tragedy (”FBI’s shameful dodge,” March 11).
As family members, we knew that it was a “catastrophic failure: of not just the braking system, as the National Transportation Safety Board established, but also of multiple agencies and businesses. And now, perhaps, the FBI as well. The justice we are demanding is having all the parties that contributed to this accident be held accountable for their actions.
There’s no question that the limousine carrying our family members had no business being in service. It’s certainly no secret that the results of the criminal trial were disheartening for everyone. Our families, and lost loved ones, deserve honesty, transparency and consequences, not dodges.
I can promise readers that we aren’t going away quietly.
