Women Against War plans protest Friday

Dressed in black, women will stand in silence at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, on the State Street steps up to the Legislative Office Building, 198 State St. in Albany, in solidarity with women in Ukraine and around the world calling for peace.

One member of Women Against War will speak, demanding Russia withdraw its troops and respect the sovereignty of Ukraine, that the U.S. government encourage peace negotiations by public commitment to continued rejection of a no-fly zone, no NATO expansion, humanitarian aid to Ukraine, support for Ukrainian refugees and more.
