Blesi’s score in overtime lifts the Spartans

Ella Blesi scored in overtime to give Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake an 8-7 win over Shenendeho­wa in a Suburban Council girls’ lacrosse game Saturday

in Burnt Hills.

The Spartans scored twice late in regulation to force overtime.

MK Lescault scored three goals and assisted on two others to lead Burnt Hills while Blie and

Carolkine Kogut each added two goals.

Maddi Morrison made seven saves in the Spartans’ net.

Lauren Shanahan scored three goals for the Plainsmen.

More girls’ lacrosse: Suffern pulled away in the second half to defeat Saratoga 15-5 in nonleague action. Emma Muchnick led Suffern with six goals and Quinn McCarren added three goals. Carly Wise led Saratoga with four goals and an assist in the defeat.

Boys’ lacrosse: Riley DeJohn had three goals and an assist and Tanner Malone added two goals and an assist to lead Columbia to a 7-5 nonleague win over Minisink Valley. John Marra made nine saves for the Blue Devils . ... Shenendeho­wa rolled past host Lafayette 15-6 in another nonleague contest. Collin Bullock scored three goals and Nate Wolfe added two goals and two assists to lead the Plainsmen . ... Dan Delaney had three goals for Albany Academy in a 16-8 nonleague loss to Wilbraham and Monson.
