Quinn, Thomas E.
SCHENECTADY
— Thomas E. Quinn, 82, entered eternal life on Thursday, April 7, 2022.
Born in Natick, Mass. he was the son of the late Edmond and Florence Redman Quinn. Tom graduated from Worcester Polytechnic and went on to a 39-year career at N.Y.S. Dept. of Environmental Conservation. His lifelong commitment to service included Little League coach, scoutmaster, Red Cross instructor, E.M.T. and many roles as volunteer for Christ the King Church. He was deeply involved in prison ministry.
He was the husband of the late Pauline Lambert Quinn; father of Christopher Quinn (Ginny), Erin Quinn Gery, and Sandra Quinn; and grandfather of Ryan Gery and Kevin Gery. He was predeceased by his first wife Terri. He was the former brother-in-law of Judith Farrell and uncle of Eric Baumes, Eileen Gilmartin, and Amy Lamitie; and unofficial adopted patriarch of the Vadney-DeBoom extended families.
All are invited to visit with Tom’s family on Sunday, April 10, from 4 - 6 p.m. at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. Funeral services on Monday, April 11, at 9 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany where his funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will immediately follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
