Siena women win their 3rd game in row

McNeely scores five goals to pace the Saints’ offense vs. the Jaspers

Siena extended its winning streak to three straight games in beating Manhattan 19-9 Saturday in a women’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference lacrosse game in Loudonvill­e.

Nicole McNeely paced the Saints (9-7, 5-2 MAAC) with five goals.

Kelsey Lane and Mary Soures added four goals apiece.

Soures leads the MAAC with 56 goals while Grace Lipponer of Manhattan is second with 51. Lipponer had one goal against the Saints.

The Saints led the entire game and took control late in the first half behind Soures, who scored four straight goals.

Her goal-scoring streak began with six minutes left in the first half and ended with seven minutes left in the third quarter to give Siena a 15-7 lead.

McNeely scored four goals in the first half and is second on the Saints with 41 goals. She leads the team with 77 points.

Reagan Mullins, Julianna Iovine and Meghan Rodino scored two goals apiece for Manhattan (9-6, 3-3).
