Mother’s Day paint event scheduled

MECHANICVILLE — Create a painting for your mother or special someone in time for Mother’s Day.

Painter Jane C. Morrison will provide instructions for participants to use acrylics to replicate a floral scene at 6 p.m. May 3 at St. Luke’s on the Hill, 40 McBride Road.

Tea and cookies will be served. There will be a nominal fee for materials, including paint, brushes, canvas and instruction.
